• The monitor will display 1080p, but ANY monitor not using its native resolution will look subpar. Rather than downgrading the resolution, i would take advantage of DPI scaling if you're worried about things being too small.

• It might depend on your graphics card, but it will support 1920 X 1080 on my system, and many resolutions well below that.
