You would need to determine the characteristics of the dashcam and to understand how many frames per second, the amount of compression, and the settings that you can choose in the dashcam settings. What is the model and manufacturer. I recommend that with dashcams that you always choose the highest setting and that you use any features of saving things like crash detection to save the video prior to and during the crash. My best advice would be to carry a second card with you and, in the event of an accident or some other significant event caught by the dashcam, that you shut down the unit afterwards, take out the memory card, store it in a safe place, and replace it with a spare blank card that you have in your vehicle.
