Because it doesn't Mini HDMI. It uses Micro HDMI (different from Mini HDMI) and it's annoying. I agree that it should just include the cable. Finding bi-directional cables was an unexpected challenge and poor experience for me.

Just notes, mini vs micro - these are two different type of connections. Additionally, monitors do not require hdmi (whether micro or standard). PC’s traditionally and currently use display ports, in which this monitor comes with a micro-dp to standard dp. Generally dp connections are better for higher frame hz, where hdmi allows for consoles, etc (see below). About micro hdmi: Micro HDMI’s aren’t required in a standard pc set up (especially new ones that don’t have gpu drivers yet [correct me if this is old news]). They are generally for peripherals like: Blu-Ray players, consoles, cameras, etc. - So the need for them isn’t paramount or even required unless you have something specific that needs the connection type.
