It comes with a cord but needs special installation (it is not a regular electrical outlet connection). It has to be on a dedicated breaker. Installation is highly recommended.

This power cable is a 3 conductor 220V power line covered by flexible protective conduit .. i never measured it but its approx 6 feet long and it only needs a 220 plug for the wall outlet or one can use a junction box for the 220 V connection .. The cook top is fairly heavy and is top quality. I chose to use a 220 plug for ease of disconnect in the future for maintenance or whatever . I recommend using a licensed electrician to ensure proper wiring connections and wall outlet breaker and wire gauge to meet cook top current demands.. i'm doing mine but as Elect Engr .. still take careful precautions to ensure proper connections and current ratings at the main elect panel.
