• Yes lid locks. It will not open till you pause or stop machine.

• Yes the lid locks. It will not open until you pause or stop the machine. So “No” it will not open while water is filling up.

• Hi JoshM! Yes, this unit does have a child lock and according to the manual, this unit will lock when filling with water. However if you need to add clothing you must deactivate the child lock.
