This model has been around for several years. I noticed within the last month a new model coming out from Samsung. This led us to purchase this model as the price break was several hundred dollars less than the new model due to a sale as well as (I'm assuming) stores like Best Buy trying to reduce their inventory of this machine in order to sell the new model.
