- Answer according to the manual, there is an option to avoid this kind of problem. There is a cycle or function that eliminate or help prevent this problem.

QuestionWhy can't I see any water in the drum of the washer when it it washing if Samsung states that it takes 13 to 15 gallons of water? All I see is wet clothes rubbing each other. Shouldn't I see some water in the drum?

QuestionPedestal clamps needed?I recently purchased this washing machine, WF42H5200AP, as well as the matching dryer. I have two older pedestals, model WE357A7P/XAA. The delivery men said these are not compatible unless I get clamps. Is this accurate, and if so which clamps (model number) do I need and where can I find them? Thank you.

- Answer Thanks for the question. The WF42H5200AP has the Smart Care feature, so you can troubleshoot error codes by scanning the display with your smart phone, but it isn't equipped with WiFi-enabled Smart Control to send alerts, monitor or control the cycle. - Ms. Samsung

QuestionHow far open does the door open?The alcove where we need to put this washer stacked with its dryer is on about 64 inches.So if I allow 6 inches at rear for hoses etc plus the depth of the washer with door open 0f 51 i am closing in on 58 inches. I would need the door to open pretty much flush onto the washer so that I would have room to then enter the space in front of washer to use.

- Answer at least 4-6 inches due to the need for a flexible duct - not thin foil duct. Had the same issue with ours and it worked out well eventually due to the ultimate stacking arrangement we chose.

QuestionBalancingIs this washer supposed to be like its unbalanced each load and then balances itself? Also, the latch hook on the door is loose but won't tighten anymore, is that normal?

- Answer Supposedly there are little iron or steel balls in the drum that will automatically balance loads. So if clothes get pushed to one side, the ball move to the other side to balance off the load. The latch hook should click into place. Not sure if the washer considers it locked without this.

QuestionCan you wash small loads without balance issues?I am in the process of returning an LG top loader because anything less than a full load (4.1 cu. ft. capacity) usually results in an error signal. I would like to know if you can wash small to half-full loads without these off balance issues. thank you.

- Answer I've washed as few as a dozen cloth napkins in a single load. I've had no balance or error issues. I did get the SUD (too much soap) error once when I used the recommended amount of detergent, but it still cleans just fine in that case... just takes longer to rinse.
