Drain pans aren't a requirement for your washer, but they are an inexpensive and simple way of protecting your home by catching small leaks and reducing the amount of water damage from broken hoses. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Drain pan not necessary. Make sure you balance the washer though using a level for all four corners. Forgetting this step may cause a jumpy washer or wear the parts before their due time.
