Our's broke down in just over a year. Samsung has sent a repairman 5 times and it still is not working. Repairman says he has tried everything to fix it but Samsung tech support wants him to continue diagnosing it. It has been a month and we don't know how many more visits it will take. We do not recommend buying any Samsung products after this experience.

Mine could last 10 years, but the exact same machine could break at 2 years for someone else. Like my sisters did. Different model but still a vtr series samsumg

Please try again later.my first washer had a problem during the first 9 months of ownership. 3 attempts to fix it. then it came under a recall so I purchased the same model and waiting for a rebate. I am sure it will last longer than that. I really like the Samsung product so my answer is yes.
