Hi GV, Thanks for the question. I can't speak for the category as a whole, but I can tell you that Samsung HE Top Load Washers, including the WA48H7400AW, are designed to be gentle on clothes. The Diamond Drum is smoother than conventional drum surfaces and has smaller holes to prevent fabrics from snagging. The pulsator design is gentle and effective, and there's a Delicates cycle which is pre-programmed to clean effectively but gently. As with many Front Load and Top Load HE Washers, the highest RPM spin speeds are great for extracting the maximum amount of water, but can lead to wrinkling with certain types of fabrics, such as permanent press, so reducing the spin speed for some loads may be advisable. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.clothes have a tendency to get twisted more than my old agitator washer, but I wouldn't say the clothes are treated more harshly. Even with more twisting in the wash, I haven't noticed any additional wear an tear. You can control the speed of the spin as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've not noticed anything to support that claim. Our clothes are coming out soft and wrinkle free, even without the use of fabric softener.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't feel that clothes are any more wrinkled than they are in any other washing machine. I have never felt that this washer was not gentle on my clothes. No complaints.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say "no". I accidentally got a flimsy neck scarf in the wash and it came out clean, not that it was dirty, and looked like it had been ironed and was unharmed. My problem is that this machine doesn't wash well enough. I would not buy it again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
