The Hz of an image is basically the frames per second the image is displayed at, so a 60Hz image is a 30 FPS image, and a 120Hz image is a 60 FPS image. The more frames per second, the smoother the motion (especially for fast action sports or movies) and the more of the signal you will see. -MrSamsung
