I could not find recommendations either. But I found that you can see the picture while you are adjusting settings - so I picked my own. I found that 100% back light and contrast, with about 65% brightness really made picture pop.

Please try again later.most broadcasts are now in 16:9 anymore and I would recommend using either the "movie" picture mode if you are watching it at night by pressing the "tools" key on your remote. The dynamic setting will give you a much brighter screen and if you are watching in a dark room it may make the black shades look a little different plus it will probably hurt your eyes having that so bright while you are in bed watching TV!
