That will depend on what connections your desktop has. I use the 40" Samsung for my second monitor, but when I buy a desktop, I make sure there is an HDMI output. If you have HDMI on your PC, you just need to connect it to the HDMI input on the tv and everything works fine. There are other methods to hooking a TV to a PC, but this is by far the most simple.

Only thing that you must do is find the resolution that fits your desktop image with the video card that you are using. Not that difficult in a Windows environment. Simply right click and personalize for screen res.
