This TV does have a coaxial input for legacy/analog use, but you won't be seeing a High Def picture. If you connect an HDMI source, such as a DVD player or PlayStation/Xbox, that will show up High Def. until you upgrade your comcast box, it will only show low def images, which look terrible on a high def TV.

I am getting HD signal from Comcast (triple play HD) tomorrow and will be getting their new HDTV box which has HD quality as well as many more channels. The current bosd box still works fine with my new HD Samsung 40". Hope this helped.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. HD boxes give you option of using HD channels. The picture is drastically better than standard. It will work fine but picture quality is not to specifications it was created for.
