Do I need a sound bar for this TV? null

No, it has excellent sound of it's own.

It might be a good option depending on what your expectations are. I am happy without one because the room is small. If it were in a main room where I wanted lots of bass and or volume then yes you would probably appreciate that kind of investment

That's up to you. The tv speakersystem sound great. If you want better speakers buy a sound bar.
