I wouldn't use a smart TV for this application, buy something cheaper.

You might want to consider putting in a UPS system (Uninterruptable Power Supply) that would provide and clean power between the generator and the TV. That way, you start with a UPS full of clean power, and continue to "top it off" using a power filter. Those options are available at your local Best Buy retail store and online at BestBuy.com Be super careful that your television is transported carefully in the original box and packing materials and stays within the operating and storage temperatures listed in the manuals.
