This was a great choice for the living room entertainment. The TV was easy to put the stand on. Allows you to label the ports to the device.

I needed a new TV to replace my Insignia 32' that died from an electrical surge. I was able to get this TV as part of this yrs. black Friday deal online and i was very impressed. I've work tech support for a company that deals with a lot of connection issues to TVs this time of year, and trust me Samsung has made this dummy proof! the longest process was dealing with updating apps/software, once connected to WiFi, which was approx 5 mins. This is my first smart TV and I love it, the built in apps save time without the need to change inputs to use other devices. The remote feels very comfortable, so much I really wish I could use it for my cable provider too. The built in speakers are pretty solid too, right now I don't have an external sound system hooked up, but so far I have little need to increase the volume past 20. The picture quality is amazing, crystal clear and to only be 60hz is mind blowing. My only grip is a personal issue with the Picture in Picture (PIP) feature. the only way to take advantage of this is to hook up a coax line for the smaller picture, and so far I haven't found a way to toggle between the pictures or the audios. Also depending on your set up, the input plugs stick out which may make for tighter clearance if attempting to wall mount. Overall for my needs this is a great TV, and I plan on buying a larger version for my living room in the future.

I am currently using my 2nd Samsung. The first one I brought home made a buzzing sound whenever it was turned on. It was unrelated to the speakers. I took it back to Best Buy the next day and swapped it out for another of the same model and this one has been fine. I can't imagine paying full retail for this TV, but does it ever sell for that much? It's a good TV though. It has a very clear picture and any shadowing or anything that it might have from "only" being a 60 Hz TV is minimal. The only example of it that I've noticed so far was tracking a pitched baseball. Set up was very easy. The TV walks you through getting it connected via WiFi when you first turn it on and doesn't take too long. The web browser is very tedious, but the channel apps are great and easy to use. There are a number of other smart features, but I haven't used them yet. The only negative I have for the smart TV function is that connecting to the smart hub can take a while if you try to connect right after turning the TV on, but I guess that's not unexpected. There's a computer in there that needs to boot up before you can connect to the internet. We also have this TV connected to a digital antennae. With our old TV, we had a converter box. This TV has it's own digital tuner, so we don't need the converter box anymore, and the tuner must be more powerful because we picked up a few more channels.

    Smart tv!

This was my first smart tv, and my largest tv screen (previously I had a 32-inch screen). Apparently, I'm a slow learner. But about a month ago, I finally decided it was time to upgrade to a "smart" tv. These cost substantially more than just a regular tv because it's got to have the Internet connectivity and sufficient processing power and internal memory to handle the necessary aps and processing power to connect to the Internet and stream video. On this, it does a fine job. Despite having only a dsl connection, the videos generally play seamlessly (very occasional stalls for buffering and streaming errors, which I suspect has more to do with my lousy dsl than it does with the tv). Once I downloaded the ap and registered my product with (a major Internet vendor that started out selling books but now also streams videos with its Prime membership), I've had full access to their whole collection of material included with Prime members (and, if I wanted to buy other material, of course I could do that, too). Downloading and registration was easy. It's been great being able to catch up on shows that were produced for overseas or cable-only networks that never made it to broadcast tv. I can binge-watch to my heart's content. And everything coming over the dsl looks as sharp as if it were coming over the airwaves. Kinda makes me wonder why I waited so long to get one of these.

I got this TV on sale, and it was the perfect size and perfect price for my budget and entertainment center. It has WiFi capability, with built-in apps including Netflix and more! The only downside of the TV is that the "SmartHub" app consistently updates, which can't be turned off. It's not a major inconvenience, just a small annoyance.

awesome TV awesome sound awesome display. Great for blu-ray and video games. Setting up is simple. Not the menu and setting is is easy to use. Pretty easy to use and connect to the internet. The only problem I've had so far is connecting it to theAnynet+ device using my sony dvd player and surround sound system. Sometimes it will use the sound from the TV and the surround sound system and it will happen echo as if at a baseball, or football game. And that is on a rare occasion. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Overall awesome tv. Price pretty good.

This is a great TV - the picture is beautiful and the features terrific. Handles broadcast/cable as well as streaming (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc), via the smart TV. Additionally, this unit wirelessly streams video, plays music and displays photos right from my WD MyCloud network drive (NAS) just by selecting with "input" button - no special set up. There is also an app available to link to a Plex server. The physical chassis is not slim but works perfectly in my location via wall mount.

This is a Series 5 TV and offers a great picture. I have Samsung Series 5 and Series 7 TVs and that's the signature feature. The sound is OK and is sufficiently loud to overcome room background noise. Internet connectivity is very easy to set up and Samsung offers a number of default applications like Netflix, Youtube, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon FIOS. So, for example, it was easy for me to pull FIOS cable content directly off my WiFi without needing another cable box. That particular app does not offer the music channels or local TV but there are other ways to get that content. I mounted it on a wall and that process was very easy. It only weighs 20 lbs and many aftermarket wall mounts are available. It would be an upgrade if the TV were a little thinner like some of the Series 7 but this TV is consistent with the market and it looks great mounted on the wall. I got a great price at Best Buy and I would recommend this TV to a friend.

This is a great TV for the price. 1080P, multiple HDMI ports, and the best of all, internet connectivity! I believe Samsung has the best SmartTV interface in the market. The apps in the app store are mostly useless except Netflix, Cracke etc. If you don't care about 3D, and 120Hz+ refresh rate, great sound from TV speakers and are ok with the size (40in). It's a great TV! Also initially I wasn't able to connect my laptop to this TV. I accidentally hit the right-click button twice after connecting the HDMI cables, and wallah! the connection was live. Maybe it's just my laptop but I thought this might help some folks.

This TV is beautiful and sleek looking. I have the 40" and the picture is crystal clear (connected to HDMI). It has cool Smart TV Samsung features which are lots of fun. This is not a typical TV where you only watch TV. There are loads of exciting features!

This is my first internet-capable TV, and is a HUGE improvement over the smaller non-flat TV I had before! (What wouldn't be?) I love the picture quality, and this is the least expensive one with the resolution and picture refresh rate and all those other important things. This is an HDTV, but I haven't gotten to the cable company to get their HD converter box, so I'm sure the picture will blow my mind once I get fully HD. Even still, it looks great. Not a lot of glare, looks nice. One salesman did mention that the sound on a flatscreen would be okay, but could benefit from a sound bar. The sound is fine, I may have to turn it up a bit higher than I'd need to with a sound bar, but I don't feel like I'm blasting it, and don't have any distortion so it must be an okay level. Maybe 45 is normal? As for the Smart Hub/Internet stuff, I wish I could remove some of their stuff. There are some apps, like "Kids", "HBO Go", and "ShopTV" that I won't use, but can't figure out how to remove from the main screen. Maybe they can be removed and I just haven't figured it out. I do like that I can add apps I use like Hulu, Netflix, etc. I would like to be able to re-order them to put the most used ones first. As it is now, Netflix (which was pre-installed) is on one part of the screen, and Hulu (which I had to download) is on another. Wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me in the purchase, but something I'd love Samsung to change.

I love everything about this TV. It was easy to set up and has a great picture. The Smart feature is why we bought it most of all to easily connect over wifi. It's very simple. The small reason that it is not perfect: The sound does not get very high or loud.

I've had this TV for a few weeks now, and I am still smitten with it. It is the perfect size for my small apartment. Unlike a friend's TV, this one turns on very quickly, and I've had no troubles connecting it to the internet and watching Netflix. I've used some of the app programs as well, such as the Fitness based ones, the yoga in particular. I would consider getting a keyboard/mouse set up so I could try World of Warcraft on it. Great picture and sound.

We were looking for a 40" to 42" LED. Best Buy was having a sale on Smart TVs, and so we jumped on it. We should be good for awhile. Crystal clear, bright picture; dual speaker system. It was easy to set up. I haven't used the computer that much. But there are many apps and an app store, plus you can surf the web. However, there is not a whole lot of internal memory. And you have to use the remote and click on the keys of a virtual keyboard.

This smart t.v. is very easy to operate and the picture is great. It's very convenient to have access to the internet, hulu, etc. without having to have all the extra boxes. My only complaint is the remote. The remote can't be programmed to my cable box, so it takes separate remotes for the smart t.v. functions and the cable box. Other than that I am very happy with the purchase. Wish I'd bought one sooner.
