“Can you record over-the-air programs by connecting an external hardrive? I know that in Britain, Asia, and Australia Smart TV's can record by connecting an external hardrive. But, I think there were some restrictions in the U.S. at least until 2012. Did these restrictions ever get lifted and how can we record programming over-the-air? Thanks.”

• No there is no option to do so in the US models.

• My Tivo DVR works just fine with this Smart TV. It records all programming. I am recording cable not over the air. However some Tivo models do record over the air TV and according to the instuctions all Tivo models work with Smart TVs.
