• Yes you can play if your device is DLNA certified. I have a Blackberry Q10 and I can play my music, pictures and videos on the TV. You just need to be on the same WIFI and enable sharing from your mobile. Search for the TV, add it and then while selecting source on the TV, you can find your Mobile listed there. Just select whatever you want to play and voila.. you are good to go!!!

• Depends. I have been able to use smart mirroring and the All cast application on my HTC M8 Android phone. I am not sure about other phones.
