- Answer unless you're having vision and/or hearing problems, once you go through the menu to adjust the picture and sound settings, you won't be disappointed. the speakers are down firing and even mounted on the wall the sound quality is very clear (compared to other brands i have purchased). i would turn the backlight down to +/- 80% and increase the brightness to compensate. crank the contrast to 90% or more and drop the sharpness down to 45% the adjust the colors and you should have a sharp vivid picture with near photo quality colors.

QuestionWhat is the EXACT width of the BASE only?I am trying to determine the base width to know if it will fit on my current TV stand. I have tried figuring it out using a ruler on the monitor screen and doing some math but the results are so close that I now need an actual number.

- Answer If you want an HD quality connection to a DVD player or other device that has a similar connection, e.g., a Blu-Ray player. Also the newer cable boxes support HDMI connection if your provider makes HD channels available. I recommend reading up on this subject or phoning your internet/cable provider. Remember you are paying extra for an "HDTV" and an HDMI connector enables you to take advantage of what you're paying for.

- Answer The TV itself does not support wireless headphones. However, there is a headphone jack that is intended for use with a sound bar. This audio out can be used to connect to a wireless device that connects your headphones but that is another purchase you would have to make.

- Answer YES! Although it is a bit slow using the remote as a keyboard. The built in browser is better than I thought it would be. Like using your smart phone without a touch keypad.

QuestionWhere is the composite hook up?Looking at the back of the TV on-line and I don't see a jack for composite but the specs say there is 1. I have an old VHS player that I still use.

- Answer It doesn't have composite inputs. You use the component inputs instead. All TV manufacturers do this now. Irritating, I know, but it is what it is. Plug the audio jacks into the red and white audio inputs as usual, and plug the yellow video jack into the yellow/green jack. Don't plug anything into the red (Pr) or blue (Pb) inputs.

- Answer yes it does, though not a dedicated button on the remote. The tools button on the remote goes to a sub menu where you can choose the sleep timer function and then choose the length of time from 30 min to 240 min (IIRC).

- Answer Yes, there is a "LAN" port on the back. I must remark though that if you have fairly good WiFi signal strength, it will be fast enough. Streaming movies does not take up that much bandwidth. So if it is easily to connect by wire, go ahead, but if you have to drill through ceilings or walls, not worth the trouble.

- Answer It comes with a base that can be used for sitting on a flat surface. It does not come with a wall mount. It does not come with any cables other than a power cord. If you have wifi, it will auto sync to it.

- Answer No, there is no built-in camera and mic. You would have to purchase a Samsung TV Skype Camera that they sell.
