The differences also include some of the proprietary software and the the number of various inputs and outputs. To me there does not seem to be a lot of differences that can easily be seen but go talk to the home theater people at Best Buy, and use Best Buy's and Samsung's websites to compare specifics. I did a lot of research between the 6400, 6500, and the 7100 and decided the best for me was the 6500. I hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would like to know this as well. Of all of the features they do tell you, they don't tell you this or about PIP for the J6500 model. Other differences I see between the two are the 6500 model specs state: you get a power cable - I don't know for what, I would hope any TV would come with one; you can get "briefing" on the tv (sync your daily schedule); you can have voice, hand and remote control; there are 4 vs 3 HDMI; 3 vs 2 USB; 400mm x 400mm vs. 200mm x 200mm; it has a v-chip; its 10" deep vs 8" deep; it has an RF antenna input which is important to me as I do not purchase cable, etal; it has S recommendations - whatever that is; and the speakers are 20 watts vs 10 watts. Otherwise I think they are the same.
