“What if you don't want to use the internet/wireless features? Just wondering, if you didn't plan on using the wireless internet features, can you turn them off? Will the TV keep trying to connect? I've read other comments about the set needing to update firmware - is that for the wireless/internet programs? or for the TV? Thanks.”

I don't use them, and it's not a problem for me, but I use the TV as a computer monitor with internet coming into it. The firmware update wouldn't install for me. I went onto Samsung's website looking for the solution to it's issue and the tech person helped me get the update to install. My issue could have been that I never finished setting up the tv part in settings - got the monitor working and left it at that. But if you're having an issue with the update, try getting help from their chat people online.
