"PCGamer," I own this set and am using it as a monitor. There is no noticeable input or visual lag while gaming, but if you're worried about unnoticeable lag, spend $1,000 for a "1ms" 32" panel. :) (It's your money.) Your comment regarding seating distance is logically reversed; you want a bigger panel with 4K because you won't be able to resolve the additional resolution provided by only a 28 or 32" screen unless your nose is literally pressed against it. The ideal seating distance for a 40" 4K panel (makes no difference if a "monitor" or a television) is 2'11", which is right around typical for the average desk-seated PC user. Even at 40", it's tempting to enable DPI scaling; at 28 or 32", it would be a necessity (unless, again, your nose is pressed against the screen while using it). As you clearly haven't used a modern "television" as a monitor, please don't parrot the nonsense of others who also haven't.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the upper version of this tv..ku6300 and two gtx 980 ti's but picture and game quality on this is the same. Like anonymous said, if you haven't played on the latest tv's vs a monitor and input lag, there's not much difference between my 1ms 28" 4K monitors @ 75hz when the tv is in game mode, I still get 25-30 kills on this 40" in battlefield 1 easy...however there is a huge difference in visual quality and the amount of things you can see in the distance and how everything looks with lighting and shadows and details...there's no comparison between my 3 28" 4K monitors in surround and a 4K tv this size. I'll probably never go back to a monitor and look at the true HDR with oled 4K sets next.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not recommend using a 4k tv as a gaming monitor with the GTX 1080. The input lag will be massive over what you would normally feel over a 4k monitor. But if you are playing games that latency and input lag doesn't matter then it can work fine. Also viewing distance is something to take into consideration. See where the TV would be placed and where you plan on sitting. That is why you rarely see people go above 32 inches for a computer monitor.
