“How do I stop the mute sign from blinking on and off while watching tv I don’t want sound on during commercials but the blinking is annoying. I can turn the sound down to zero but then have to raise it up again each time.”

I use a sound bar and encountered that problem. Just adjust the sound to zero and click/press the volume bar on the remote. It’ll go away.
