“Is it possible to get a FULL picture top to bottom on this TV? There is a 2.25" black band at both the top and bottom of the TV screen - a total of 4.5" lost on the picture. Thanks in advance for your answer.”

Go to settings ....then go to picture and set to 16/9 as your setting as you are most likely in 4/3.
