Yes, it has a port for optical sound bar. And you're gonna need it! Because the factory speakers this TV comes with are along the order of 1970's transistor AM radios. Absolute tin--ny garbage. I had a samsung 40 inch from about two years ago that was damaged in a nephew home ball incident, so I was replacing. And even though I had a sound bar, the stock speakers in that were pretty good, so I didn't think to listen to this one (new 43) when I bought it. They got me. Good thing I had the sound bar. You will notice how bad the stock speakers are--that's how bad they are.
