“Are there narrower inserts for putting the legs on this tv? I understand the legs are 31.2 inches apart but in looking at this tv on the sales floor it appears one can set the legs narrower?”

I don’t know the measurement between the legs, but I believe you will be able to flip through the pictures BestBuy provides and answer that question very easily. I will say there is only one right way to install the legs. But it’s not difficult. The directions are clear as they are written in the Quickstart.
