“Can the optical port and the tv speaker be used at the same time?”

• Yes. Usually the optical is working. If not go to audio and select optical, then exit. As long as you don't disable speakers, they should both work

• Hi Jeff, If you have a Q or S-Series Samsung Soundbar connected via Optical, you can play sound from TV speakers simultaneously. If anything else is connected via Optical, then you will not be able to play sound from both. ~Samsung Advisor
