No, there is no setting that will convert analog signals to digital. The 4:3 aspect ratio is naturally smaller than 16:9 and so all 4:3 aspect ratio programs will display with black borders. If the broadcaster did not add the black bars, the picture would appear stretched but full screen. In this case, the Picture Size button is needed to set the aspect ratio to 4:3.
