Just like cell phones or any other modern technology nowadays. Hardware has been improved in upper/newer "series". There's slightly better improved between the 6 to the 7 series Samsung. There really no major improvement depending on how well your eyes can see. The 6 series and basically your entry level. The 7 series will have a little better processor and better range in color.
