“I am looking at installing this TV in Portrait orientation for signage issues. Can the TV logic switch its mode or what are the options? I am replacing an existing unit that has its mounting screws centered on either orientation, is this unit same?”

I guess it would depend on what's "driving" the display. For instance, if a PC is the video source and you're using the TV as a monitor, you can always set the display to portrait within Windows. But I don't believe there is an orientation for portrait or landscape within the Samsung menu native to the TV.
