• Yes, it can be set to turn off until it detects movement in the room, then it turns back on as the artwork.

• Yes, you can set the TV to turn off after a certain amount of time if there has been no activity in the room. I believe the default is 15 min. You can also set up the TV to not turn on Art Mode as well which is nice when the TV is in a bedroom and may come on and off with movement.
