“Hi, I just got the tv and love it. The issue I have is with the black bars when watching movies. I've seen them on Netflix movies and HBO movies. I try to go to settings to change it, but it won't let me. Can I change them?”

I'm going to assume you are talking about black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when viewing movies shot in a wider aspect ratio than 16:9. Here is an excellent video explaining why there are blacks bars on some content. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bhFuzM7ZWA

The one in my living room which I've had a while does the same thing. I have tried adjusting it in settings and cannot seem to fix it. I am seriously considering returning my newest set since I am within the time frame to do so. Wondering if Samsung's and or Sony's have the same problem. I noticed nobody has answered this question yet so maybe there is no answer to it.
