I have comcast. I unplugged the hdmi cable that came off my cable box and plugged into the Samsung tv and had no problems. On the TV I select comcast and I control the channels with my cable controller. I could control the channels with tv remote also. The only problem I had was the the Samsung TV did not recognize my Apple TV box. It lists as a direct tv box. The TV is great. The picture is outstanding.
