I have been very happy with the clarity and overall brightness of the picture, and the colors and contrast are pleasingly pure and bright. Our set is located just below a south facing window and we have no problem with washout from the ambient or back light. The clarity, contrast, and brightness does not decrease noticeably with viewing angle. We can still see the picture clearly at angles well beyond 45 degrees. Hope that helps.
