• From the front of the tv to the front leg of the stand is 5 inches. The stand also protrudes out from the back of the tv also, 6 1/2 inches. I just bought this tv today and just set it up.

• 4.75" on both the left and right sides -- I just re-measured. I did the same thing, and had to put a custom-cut board in the shelf to extend out in front of the TV for support. The rear leg in the center of the screen extends back behind the TV at least this much as well. Alas, my TV being all mounted now, there isn't a good way for me to measure that for you.
