Answering my own question for others to know. Roku doesn’t pass 5.1 no matter how you hook it up. I bought Firestick and that works perfect and passes 5.1 on Netflix. If you want to cut cable cord and use this sound bar you have to get Firestick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Select 5.1, this has 5 full sound channels, top and front. If you're not getting sound it's not hooked up right. You want the digital optical cable hooked up, and the setting on D. In (direct input), not bluetooth. Not all programs on Netflix have the 5.1 as well. Although a lot of them do.
