“I have a good size Great Room. The majority of seating will between 10 & 15 feet from the sound bar. Would the best placement for subwoofer be in front, near the TV or in back, near the rear speakers? Also, is 'centering' the subwoofer of ANY importance?”

Hi CarolinaTR, subwoofers are "omnidirectional" so there is no one placement that is perfect. Having said that, the sub will be generating higher than 80Hz bass so you will hear the sub as a distinct sound source if placed too far from the sound bar Try to keep the sub within 4 or 5 feet of the TV. Also, don't put the subwoofer in a corner, the problem being that a corner placement tends to magnify the bass, making it harder to blend with a sound bar. I hope this helps! ^Scott
