“When it states this sound bar is 5.1 does that mean it will work with additional speakers to expand to 5.1 or are there center and side speakers built into the center as this is just a 2.1 unit? Thanks for the clarification.”

Hi there, 5.1 means there are 5 channels in front of the bar and one on the floor (subwoofer). If you were to add wireless rears to the soundbar it would be 7.1. Hope this helps! ^Scott
