“Can this sound bar be hung under the TV or does it need some kind of shelf?”

When I bought this I thought it could attach to the back of my mounted TV (65 inch Samsung) so it would hang and move with it, but when the person came to mount the TV they said it shouldn’t be done because the soundbar is too heavy for the TV to handle. Instead they mounted the sound bar directly into the wall so it’s free hanging under the TV. When I pull the tv away from the wall, the soundbar obviously doesn’t move with it, so I’m not crazy about that but oh well.

I GUESS IF YOUR TV IS ON THE WALL, YOU WOULD NEED A SHELF OF SOME SORT, BECAUSE DEPENDING ON WHICH LISTENING MODE YOU'RE IN, IT COULD BE PUSHING SOUND OUT STRAIGHT FROM THE FRONT, OR FROM THE FRONT AND TOP, SO YOU DON'T WANT TO BLOCK IT. I HAVE THE TV ON IT'S LEGS, ON A STAND, THIS SOUNDBAR SITS ON THE STAND AND FITS RIGHT BETWEEN THE LEGS OF THE TV, SO IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD, I JUST MOVED IT SLIGHTLY FORWARD OF THE TV ITSELF SO THE SOUND ISN'T BLOCKED, OR ALTERED BY ANYTHING ! AND IT WORKS GREAT ! I HOPE THAT HELPED IN SOME WAY ? IF YOU HAVE MORE, FEEL FREE !!
