I pulled plug out and it still ignited with a match.Didn't try oven but it probably lights with a match also. Burners are sealed also. I originally ordered the stainless steel but didn’t know sides were black cause stoves in store are all side by side. Impatient to have my stove so I accepted it when it arrived . Stove in this stainless was a beautiful looking stove but in my kitchen you can see the black sides couldn’t get use to it and it didn’t match my cream kitchen. I returned stove for the white one without seeing what the white one look like cause store doesn’t have white on display . Well this white one looks like a big piece of plastic from China. Couldn’t believe the difference!!!! Wasn’t changing it again. Don’t get the white !Also a safety issue the grates are usually a star shape to support pots but this one isn’t . It’s shaped like a cross in middle and doesn’t reach the ends of the grates on the ends which causes my small 1 qt pot to tip over when i just use to boil water for tea. Have to seat that pot directly on middle of the grate . Dangerous if u have kids. Already tipped over with water in them for tea. Burner knobs on white one plastic not sure on stainless . Didn’t look like plastic on stainless but it’s hard to tell with today’s colors /paint .Look at grates on internet to know what I am talking about. Also flame on the long middle burner is not high at all . Don’t even bother to use it. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wow that is five questions in one. Of course if the power is out the electric ignition will not work but not sure why you cooking in the dark. I have not heard about recalls or rumers of breaking knobs and we did a fair bit of research. Sadly I do not know if the burner mechanicals are sealed or what you mean by that.
