“Control panel "Bake" button Recently purchased Samsung white 5 burner nx58f5500sw gas range. I press bake button, select desired oven temp and then start. The start button takes about 2-3 press attemps before it registers. Is this normal?”

Thanks for the question, Tiche. It's normal for the buttons on the control panel to require being pressed firmly in order to turn the oven on as a safety precaution, but if you find the buttons aren't responsive when pressed firmly I would suggest calling 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent for assistance determining whether service is advisable. - Ms. Samsung

I have found the buttons to be less "sensitive" than some others, and require a bit heavier touch to operate, but I actually like that feature, as I can clean them without them beeping and going off all over the place!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem in the beginning. Seems your finger does not hit the center of the "start"s button. Try using a new (unused) pencil eraser or similar item. Seems fingers tend to bend too much. Mine works at first attempt now.

Please try again later.mine only takes one press, but I push bake button and its preprogrammed for 350 .if I need it lower or higher I enter the temp on the number pad and then start,. try pushing the start button once and give it a second or two before pressing it again. it should only take one push of the button
