Rack can go in the bottom drawer, top you just need to be careful how you clean it. Spray the special cleaner on the cleaning rag not the surface.

The cook top will have spots on it. I've only cooked on my cook top 4 times in 3 weeks. When I cooked soup, it splattered and just wiping the splatter left spots.
