“Power cord requirements Am I required to buy a power cord from Best Buy? I have a brand new GE 4 ft. 3-Prong 40 Amp Electric Range Cord that I bought from another major store. I was planning to buy this model stove from them but even their Online Store was backordered until late November. I had, of course, already bought the power cord that they advised for this model (my existing outlet is 40-amp three prong). Thanks.”

Yes, you are. The Sale Associate explained to me that I order for me to: 1. Receive a Free Delivery 2. Able to purchase a 5-year Warrantee from BestBuy I must purchase the power cord along with the brand new Electric Range, because that's how their insurance company is writing its fine prints. It gotta be NEW to be properly insured.

Please try again later.It's my "understanding" that as long as you have a brand new power cord, they will use it, just make sure you mention it in the special instructions. For my new range, they hooked up the power cord after the unloaded the stove from the truck, but before they wheeled it into the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We also had a power cord of our own that we wanted to use, but Best Buy will only hook up their range with their power cord so we bought one from them. You could probably use your own power cord if you had somebody else hook it up.
