“Cooktop only 5 days old and oxidizing?Stains won't come off. Hi we just purchased this cooktop and for no reason there are silver fleck all over one of the burners.It is an interior thing not exterior because no cleaning products or scraping will eliminate them.What is going on?”

The silver flecks you see are coming from the pots and pans that you are using on the stove. They are melting from the metal and depositing on the cooktop. This is my biggest complaint about this stove, it gets too hot. You will need the white stove top cleaner and a lot of elbow grease. I have also started using a sponge scrubby with the cleaner. I have to do mine all the time.

Please review page 19 of the user manual regarding the use of certain types of cookware, such as aluminum and copper, that could cause marks on the cooktop. Pages 35-36 offer remedies for removing marks and scratches.
