• It does have an optical digital audio output. However, I could not get it to work with an optical-to-analog stereo converter. I needed to do this because my "home theater" unit is an old-fashioned analog RCA input system. You may have better luck if your home theater system has an optical input. I was able to get audio from the TV to my home theater system using a Bluetooth audio device. By the way, I haven't been impressed by the level of tech support from Samsung.

• Yes, it does have optical. It also uses Bluetooth technology, which is great.
