“I received a Samsung 50-inch TU7000 as a gift. I've tried different standard-size HDMI cables (4K UHD, older model cable) and they all do not fit into both HDMI ports of the TV (1 or 2). Please help. Thanks.”

Alrighty, I had the same issue. What you want to do is look in the HDMI ports, if you look close you can see that there are two metal tabs pushed against the middle HDMI port tab. You just need to push those two tabs down and unblock the HDMI.
