No. It has a button that you can choose to use a screen with numbers you navigate with the up/down buttons on the remote. Using the numbers is like texting before there were smartphones. Kind of old tech considering it is Samsung. But my cable box dvr remote syncs up and controls the TV. So, whatever you use to get your programs, cable or streaming, that remote will be doing most of the work. You can also use voice commands.
