Per http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/mu6300/settings "For watching HDR content via an HDMI connection, it is important to set the 'HDMI UHD Color' on for each HDMI input that will receive the HDR content. This will permit the HDMI port to transmit all the bandwidth needed for HDR. If the 'HDMI UHD Color' is not turned on, some devices will not detect the Samsung MU6300 as being compatible with HDR. For HDR content, it is also preferable to set the 'Backlight' to maximum, set 'Local Dimming' to 'High' and set the 'Color Space Settings' to 'Auto'. "

So yes, you get better resolution and better picture, but HDR was the killer feature in. You will be amazed with HDR. I went with the 49" 8000 series, and still saved 300$ on it. It's the perfect size for where the tv is going. As for the PS4Pro, that's up to you. I think each developer is doing different things, higher resolution, increased frame rate, or hdr, or a combination of all 3. I'm really happy with my xBox One X on another 4k HDR tv I got.
