Is this TV compatible with samsung smartthings? null

Just bought this tv during the black Friday special. I was excited to connect my Samsung laptop to it. It's one of the latest models that run on an i7 Intel processor. Whenever I tried connecting it to this tv, the connecting symbol would just spin until the status on my laptop would say that it failed to connect. I tried over 20 times and it connected only once but disconnected instantly when I moved the laptop. I ended up using the HDMI connection instead. This was very disappointing to me as I've always believed that Samsung delivers the best every time. This will no longer be the case.

Yes, the TV is a Smart TV and has the Samsung App.
